My data looks outdated — how to update it
Since FlowTrack uses manual data entry, your dashboard reflects the values you last entered. If your net worth or cash flow looks off, it is likely because some values need updating.
How to Update Your Data
Step 1: Use Quick Update
- Go to Dashboard → Quick Update
- You will see all your assets and liabilities with their current values
- Update any values that have changed
- Tap Save All
Step 2: Check for missing entries
- Have you logged your latest income and expenses?
- Did you receive any new income (salary, freelance, dividends) that is not recorded?
- Are there expenses from the past few days that you forgot to log?
Step 3: Set update reminders
- Go to Settings → Reminders
- Turn on monthly balance update reminders
- FlowTrack will nudge you on the 1st of every month to update your asset and liability values
How Often Should You Update?
| Data Type | Recommended Frequency |
|---|---|
| Expenses | Daily (log as you spend) |
| Income | When received (on payday) |
| Bank balances | Monthly |
| Investment values | Monthly |
| Loan balances | Monthly |
| Property value | Quarterly or annually |
| Gold value | Monthly |
Tip
The monthly update session takes most users 5 to 10 minutes. Treat it like a financial check-up — open your bank apps, note the balances, and update FlowTrack.
If you are having technical issues with the app (crashes, errors when saving), see our performance troubleshooting guide or contact us at support@flowtrack.money.
